Wonderful Tour with Expert Guide

Tony, our guide, paid attention to our requests for areas to tour, and then some. He took us to a smaller Geisha section of town than the one most people go to. There we went into a working tea room, met the proprietor, a charming fellow in his 80’s, who showed us around, explained what they do and made us tea. Kanazawa castle and the adjoining Kenrokuen Garden, various shrines were visited on a beautiful day. Tony provided tons of local knowledge and taught us how to navigate the bus system in Kanazawa. He also met us at our hotel, which is very important for first time travelers to a new place.
