Private Calligraphy Session

Private Japanese Calligraphy Experience
Japanese calligraphy, known as shodo, is a highly regarded traditional art form in Japan. Using brush, ink and paper, calligraphy combines artistic expression with concentration and mindfulness, with each carefully considered stroke forming part of the finished work.
During this private calligraphy session, an experienced local calligraphy artist will introduce you to the techniques and traditions of shodo and guide you in writing your chosen Japanese characters.
Set in a quiet private setting near Kanazawa’s Saigawa River, the experience offers an opportunity to slow down, work with traditional calligraphy tools and discover a fascinating part of Japanese culture through hands-on practice.
