On January 1st, 2023, a significant earthquake occurred off the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Japan. Local damage to roads and buildings occurred in the Noto region with tremors felt throughout Ishikawa, including Kanazawa.
Our hearts go out to the entire community of Noto during this challenging time. We want to express our deepest sympathy for the difficulties our neighbors are facing and extend our unwavering support.
As a neighboring town, we stand in solidarity with Noto, ready to assist in any way possible. We are actively contributing to relief efforts and support initiatives aimed at restoring normality to your lives.

Tour Updates
We have suspended all tours to the Noto Peninsula with immediate effect.
There is some minor damage to Kanazawa Highlights, (Kanazawa Castle & 21st Century Museum), local repairs are underway and we expect normal service to return in the coming days.
All tours of Kanazawa, Shirakawago, Takayama, Kyoto and Matusmoto have not been affected and will operate as normal. If you have any queries, please feel free to reach out to us here.
