Born in 1974 and raised in the heart of Kanazawa City, Takashi Sadaike has always been immersed in the rich artistic traditions of the region. From a young age, his passion for craftsmanship was evident.

Takashi pursued his craft education at the prestigious Ishikawa Prefectural Technical High School, specializing in Crafts. After graduation, he further honed his skills at the Ishikawa Prefectural Wajima Lacquer Art Training Institute, delving deep into the intricate world of lacquer craftsmanship.

In 1998, armed with extensive training and a deep-rooted appreciation for tradition, Takashi embarked on a journey to uphold his family’s legacy in lacquer craft. He established his own workshop, where he meticulously crafts exquisite lacquer pieces from raw wood.

Takashi’s skill and dedication have been recognized through numerous accolades and exhibitions:
Selected for the Japanese Traditional Lacquer Art Exhibition in 1994, marking the beginning of a journey filled with recognition and admiration.
His work has been consistently showcased at the Kanazawa City Crafts Exhibition since 2014, where he has been honored with the Encouragement Award twice.
