What to Expect
Explore the Sanmachi district after dark, hear the tales of what actually went on in this district during the Edo period. Our professionally guided tour will take you through the 2 most beautiful districts of Takayama and then we’ll sit down with fellow travellers to a full course traditional meal and drinks(included in tour price). The tour duration is 2.5 hours. You will get the chance to explore the cultural background of these unique districts and get to sample some of the local dishes available in this area. Our night tour groups are small(usually 3 – 8 people) and include a dedicated professional guide to explain the locations and the dishes.

Atmospheric Takayama at night and brilliant meal
We spent a very pleasant a peaceful evening with Kazu, walked around Edo districts when there was nearly nobody there and finally ended up in a traditional restaurant hidden above a stone walk and tried the best beef rice ever while having a very meaningful conversation with our guide.When it was over and we were ready for bed Kazu and her husband were very kind to drive us to our hotel.

A Great Night with Ikue
