Shirakawago – Hida Furukawa – Takayama(Private)

Great fun in Shirakawago, Hida Furukawa and Takayama

We took the tour at 8:30 am for a private day tour of Shirakawa-go, Hida-Furukawa and Takayama. Back to Kanazawa close to 7 pm. It was a delightful day, made more interesting by our tour person Mai. She was very knowledgeable of the places we went to, and flowers, trees and art that we saw. Courteous and accommodating, as the Japan people are. She made the day special by her openness and caring nature. An expert driver. Wonderful person to have as a guide. An honour to be her guest. The ride in a hybrid car made by Toyota was very restful for a party of three. The scenery on the way was filled with green fields, snow-capped mountains and speckled with Sakura trees in bloom. All three places are a must-see, especially the first two. Shirakawa is a cultural heritage village of Thatched huts still in use, made for snow and mountain weather, and Hida is a nice old mountain town with koi-filled streams about, and lovely people. Takayama-shi is vibrant with an old style Japanese district backdropped by mountains and a picturesque, Sakura tree banked river. Colourful and inviting Japanese wares shops.  Read more about Private Tour of Shirakawago, Hida Furukawa,Takayama – https://kanazawatours.com/our-tours/shirakawago-hida-furukawa-takayama/
