A Day of Amazing Sightseeing with Mai

We arranged a private 9-hour tour with Kanazawa Walking Tours during the week of September 23rd. The company was very flexible in accommodating our requests, and we had a wonderful tour of Takayama, Hida Furukawa and Shirakawago. Our guide, Mai, has a delightful personality, exceptional knowledge of the area and history, a deep appreciation of nature, and great timing! She picked us up from our hotel at 8:30am and we made it to Takayama in time for the morning market. The fresh produce and other treats were amazing! We also had a tasty lunch of Hida beef (my son’s request), visits to locations portrayed in the movie Your Name, and a nice amount of sightseeing. Mai made it back to Kanazawa in time for our train back to Tokyo. The day was a highlight of our trip to Japan!
