The artisan tour of Kanazawa was a highlight of our trip to Japan

Incredible tour! Our guide, Nozomi, was very fluent in English and an excellent storyteller. Very charismatic and funny, her personal anecdotes added a lot of vibrancy to our tour of the historical geisha districts. She was also kind enough to give us her contact info in case we have any other questions during our stay in Japan. 10/10 fantastic!

We are well traveled, have generally high standards and we were very happy with our tour. Time and money well invested learning about this amazing city!!

Fumi took us all over the place and exposed us to not only the culture but unique things like gold leaf ice cream … she was amazing !

The trip to the Noto Peninsula was memorable and turned out to be an unexpected highlight of our trip. Michiko helped bridge the cultural gap between us and the Japanese people we met on the tour. She made us feel like friends and colleagues, rather than tourists. We wondered why she was taking pictures herself, and we were pleasantly surprised when, several days later, we received a link from her to a beautiful photo & video album, with highlights of both trips. It was an unexpected gift of wonderful memories.

Our tour was awesome! Yumiko was our tour guide and she was clear with her explanations, descriptions and history of the places we visited. The pace of the tour was just right. We covered a lot of grounds – the Kenrokuen Gardens (beautiful grounds), Geisha district, Samurai District and the Omicho Market. We even had a taste of very fresh sashimi and oysters at the market. Thank you, Mike, Nagisa and Yumiko for the great tour experience. I highly recommend booking this tour with Kanazawa Tours.

It was a delightful day, made more interesting by our tour guide Mai. She was very knowledgeable of the places we went to, and the flowers, trees and art that we saw. Courteous and accommodating, as the Japanese people are. She made the day special with her openness and caring nature. An expert driver. Wonderful person to have as a guide. An honour to be her guest.

We had a wonderful tour of Takayama, Hida Furukawa and Shirakawago, Our guide, Mai, has a delightful personality, exceptional knowledge of the area and history, a deep appreciation of nature, and great timing!

We had a delicious Hida beef meal at a restaurant in Takayama, The car was clean and comfortable. Yuta was friendly, knowledgeable and fun to chat with

We did the night tour with local food and drinks. What a lovely lady, was our guide Nozomi. She took us to the geisha neighbourhood. She is so vivid and kind. After a walk with her, you know the history and the way it works today. But you also learn to know her and she is interested in who you are. After the walk
