In the tea ceremony, there is a moment called ‘haiken’ duringwhich the guest takes time to appreciate the tea bowl, examining the shape of the tea bowl, including the bottom, after drinking the tea. Long ago, when there was not any media to record things, this was a moment to memorize the shape of the tea bowl. It was the only way in which to remember the moment, the other attendees, the place, and the time the person shared with the other guests. This work is a contemporary reinterpretation of the act of haiken during the tea ceremony. The spiral pattern in the center represents the bottom of the tea bowl and the movement of the tea bowl during haiken. The work can mount on wall , it is good interior and the at the same time it contains deep meaning of Tea Sprits
